Ever since I was a young child, I loved gadgets. My furthest memory was a reel-to-reel tape recorder I got for a present when I was probably about 7 years old! Then came the cassette recorders, record players and yes, back in 1976, I even had an 8-track tape recorder. Who didn't like listening to the loud annoying "click" in the middle of a song as the tape clicked from one track to another. (I actually never knew why they were called "8-Tracks" - it seemed like there were only 4, but it's not that important now I guess!)
